Trapping—a way of life
Minnie Clark grew up on a trapline on the Teslin River, in a cabin without running water or electricity, where she learned to snare rabbits and sew at an early age. Although fur prices aren't what they were then, Minnie continues to trap, craft, and pass on her knowledge because it keeps her connected to the land, her family, and her Tlingit culture. This interview is based on a "A 21st-century fur industry," written by Rhiannon Russell for the winter issue of Yukon, North of Ordinary magazine.
